United States, Colorado, Gunnison, Gothic. Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory. Mount Bellview. From Schofield Pass on Trail 401 to large meadow below NW spur. Climb spur to Pt. 12473', then follow ridge SE to high point and NE across saddle to summit (12519'). Dropped from low point on saddle into basin to N and then traversed back W to 401 Trail at ca. 11400 ft. Site 1. Final ridge from saddle to true summit. Ca. 200m down ridge and 50m elevation below summit.

Rocky ridge. Growing in bare, rocky areas along ridge.
Several wiry stems from a basal rosette of narrowly oblanceolate leaves. Fruiting stems <20 cm tall with curving, reflexed pedicels and fruits. Fruits obscurely veined with very short style; glabrous. Basal leaves with ~sparse, simple and 2-3-forked hairs. Longer hairs on margin than surface of leaves. Lower stems very sparsely pubescent and cauline leaves sparsely pubescent to glabrous. Seeds uniserate.

Imager: Eleanor Froehlich; Date Imaged: 12/5/2024. Only patch of fruiting plants seen on ridge. This may be too high elevation for this species (could possibly be B. gunnisoniana)?
